What kind of photographer am I?

I have been out of art school and working proffessionally as a photographer for nearly 17 years and I still have no idea.

After joining DA last month I have put some of my favorite pieces from the last 2 years in my gallery and from looking over that body of work I still have no idea.

Sports? Love it, but finding someone to buy them is not so fun.

Portratiure? It's ok and pays the bills but after a few years I am finding it somewhat tedious.

Weddings and events? I have been doing some for the extra money. Its an easy buisness to start, a little too easy as everyone with a digital camera seems to think they can do it.

Fashion? Exciting Glamourous Fun Challenging. One day I may play up my paranoid recluse personality into an exclusive excentric trendseter.

Photojournalism? I have the talent but not the educational background.

Fine Art? See sports.

Nature and landscape? Bugs scare me. And I keep seeing visions of my D200 at the bottom of a very picturesque lake.

Catalouge and tabletop? Sounds tedious but in a good way. I specialized in this in school and am eager to get back to it. After setting up a small product studio in my spare room I am going to shoot Something every day and get back into the swing of it.

The horrible truth is that running a sucsessfull photography buisness has little to do with photographic talent and everything to do with networking and buisness talent. The company I work for is pushing me more and more into management and further and further from a camera. If I have any hope of making a buisness of my own I have to choose something. But what?

I have no idea.
